Iconography
The pictorial material, images or symbols that relate to a particular topic. The imagery or symbolism found in the composition or detail of a work of art.
Illustrated
Minors A deck in which the Minor Arcana are fully illustrated with scenes depicting the cards meaning as opposed to 'Majors Only' deck in which the Minors are just represented by the symbols of their suit and number.
Initiation Ritual
A systemised rite of passage into a group or society. It often involves a 'rebirth' and is seen in organised religion via baptisms, confirmations or bar mitzvahs. It is also a feature of graduation ceremonies or the rites of secret societies and fraternal organisations when a new member is accepted into the fold.
Interpretation
The process of explaining the meaning of card or group of cards.
Intuition
Instinctive knowledge or any means of gaining knowledge about something without conscious reasoning. Often referred to as gut feeling, the inner voice or sixth sense.
Intuition Building
Activities and exercises performed to develop intuition as one would strengthen any muscles in the body.
Intuitive Reading
A subjective interpretation of the cards by reading on impulse. It captures the emotional essence of the cards.
