Illuminati

Combining artistic beauty, symbolic depth and intuitive vigour, the Tarot Illuminati has the ability to warm the soul and free the mind and will illuminate your path on your Tarot journey.

The Art of Symbols

The aim of the Tarot Illuminati is to reveal the intricate layers of symbolism contained within traditional Tarot so that the Reader can go deeper in reading, translating and speaking the language of Tarot.

Symbolism is found everywhere, and we can learn to take better control of our lives by interpreting it. Examines of using symbols in this way include the colour red that tells us to stop at a traffic light and the thumbs-up sign that tells us that everything is ok.

Tarot images are filled with symbolism. In the Tarot Illuminati, in particular, every detail is meaningful. Each scene is a rich and sumptuous tapestry of colour, action, expressions and nature. These flood the senses with the essence of each card so that the associated meanings or concepts are almost tangible.

The style of the Tarot Illuminati's artwork also invites you to interact with the cards as if they were friends or allies, enemies and strangers, family members and professional associates. These cards represent real-world human emotions, problems, fears, hopes and actions, and we must therefore be able to relate to them on a personal level.

Every card of the Tarot Illuminati speaks to you, as if you had just walked into its world, and offers to draw you into its mysteries, so that not only might you read the cards, but you also might receive a significant revelation about yourself.

Shining A Light

The Tarot Illuminati contains within it the light of illumination, realisation and truth, made dynamic and interactive through image and symbolism. Each card is like a stained-glass window in a church, highlighting a meaningful role and passing down age-old wisdom by being lit up by the light of the sun.

Light plays an important role in the cards of the Tarot Illuminati. It represents the Divine, God, the light of truth, attainable wisdom or awareness. In spiritual terms, light - particularly sunlight - is a representation of our origin as well as spiritual growth. whether it is depicted in the form of the sun, the moon, stars, a lantern, reflected light or a fire, you will find that the Tarot Illuminati's symbolism of light tells a story of revelation, illumination and the journey towards awareness and wisdom.

The Name of The Deck

The Tarot Illuminati is not related in any way to the order known as the Illuminati, neither its historical Bavarian manifestation nor a modern idea of a modern idea of a clandestine organisation that somehow controls the world. It only shares with the Illuminati the ideals of illumination, and the origin of the name, from the Latin word 'Illuminatus', meaning 'enlightened', which sets out the goal of the Tarot Illuminati. The name of deck also conveys its aesthetics, filled as they are with light.

Different Terms

When you first study your Tarot Illuminati you may notice a few differences between this deck and decks based on the Radiant Wise Spirit deck.

For instance, in the Major Arcana instead of the usual Magician, you will see the Alchemist.

There are also differences in the Court cards. Instead of the Page, Knight, Queen and King, the Page becomes the Princess and the Knight is now the Prince.

Did you know?

One of the modern systems of symbolism embedded in the Major Arcana is astrology.

You can spot many symbols from the Zodiac in the Tarot Illuminati and these can serve as helpful hints.

For example, the Empress includes the Venus symbol.

Venus is a planet associated with love, sensuality and femininity, so think about what this might mean for the card.
